Environmental Programs

Environmental projects provide Pacific students with opportunities to restore forests and rivers, encourage recycling on campus, develop the community garden, and teach environmental concepts and practices.

B Street Living Museum

The Center for Civic Engagement collaborates with Metro, the Pacific Environmental Studies Program, and numerous other local partners to support sustainable food production at the B Street Living Museum (formerly B Street Permaculture Project), one mile south of campus. Volunteers and students on service-learning and work/study assignments assist with invasive plant removal, planting native species, sustainable crop production and weed removal, animal care, and building earth-friendly structures.
