Dr. Kinoshita is from San Jose, California.  Her research interests are in specialty contact lens design and fitting.  She is a member of the Contact Lens Assessment in Youth (CLAY) research team studying the risk factors of soft contact lens wear in kids.  She enjoys walking, biking, baking (try her famous chocolate chip cookies), and reading.

What does she enjoy most about teaching at the College of Optometry?

“I have always enjoyed the process of learning and teaching and the college has provided an environment of continual learning. There are few better ways to stay current on a topic than to prepare a lecture, work with interns in the clinic, and to work with student research projects. I feel very fortunate to be challenged every day with new ideas and insightful questions by the bright minds of the future.”
