James A. Baer, AuD – Assistant Professor of Audiology and Director of Academic Education
Dr. Jim Baer joined Pacific University in June 2012. Dr. Baer previously served as Director of Audiology at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. His areas of interest include adult audiologic diagnostics, auditory brainstem response diagnostics, amplification, and adult audiologic rehabilitation, with a particular interest and expertise in vestibular diagnostics. Dr. Baer completed a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from State University of New York College at Cortland in 2000 and a Doctor of Audiology degree from University of Louisville in 2006. On a personal note, Dr. Baer developed a love of hand-thrown pottery as an undergraduate at Cornell University, eventually becoming a pottery instructor and selling his pottery to earn money to live on each semester.
