Lisa joined Pacific University as founding program director for the School of Dental Hygiene Studies in July 2005, after serving as a consultant for the developing dental hygiene program during the prior year. She has more than 25 years experience in dental hygiene and dental assisting education, having worked in both in teaching and program administration. Her areas of expertise and interest include organizational management and professional advocacy.
Lisa is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and the American Dental Education Association and has served as a delegate to both associations at the national level. She has held numerous leadership positions on both the state and local level with the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. She is a member of Sigma Phi Alpha, the national dental hygiene honor society, holding alumni membership in the Chi Chi Eta chapter, faculty membership in the Beta Beta Chi chapter and charter membership in the Delta Delta Xi chapter.
Lisa strives to create a positive learning environment by encouraging creative problem solving and innovative teaching methods. Throughout her work experiences, she has been committed to open communication, collaborative relationships and continuous quality improvement.
