Dr. Sarah Martin is originally from Southern California where she completed her undergraduate work at California Polytechnic University of Pomona with a BS in Biology. She then obtained her Doctorate in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Ma in 2007. Dr. Martin continued her training in Tucson Arizona where she completed a residency in Primary Care and Low Vision at the Southern Arizona Veterans Administration Hospital. She then spent three years working on the Tohono O’odham reservation and assisted in establishing an eye clinic in a remote area of the reservation. She also has experience co-managing surgeries in an Ophthalmology office and contracting as a primary care optometrist. She relocated to the Portland Oregon area to join the Pacific College of Optometry as the Assistant Director of Community Outreach.
Dr. Martin is involved in the community vision screenings. She enjoys leading Pacific University Optometry students in providing outreach vision evaluations throughout the community. She can be seen driving the Pacific University College of Optometry EyeVan around town, on her way to a community event.
