Biography

 

Dr. Stephens studied composition with Cecil Effinger and has written music performed throughout the West by a wide range of media  His compositions have been features at many regional and national festivals, and he frequently serves as an adjudicator and guest lecturer. His theory and composition classes are key elements in Pacific’s music degrees, and he teaches the music theory sequence as well as music history of the 19th and 20th centuries.
