Poetry

Vievee Francis is the author of Blue-Tail FlyHorse in the Dark, and Forest Primeval, winner of the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award and the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award for Poetry. Her work has appeared in numerous print and online journals, textbooks, and anthologies including Poetry, The Best American Poetry, Cura, Waxwing, and Angles of Ascent: A Norton Anthology of Contemporary African American. In 2009 she received a Rona Jaffe Writer’s Award and in 2010, a Kresge Fellowship. She is an associate professor at Dartmouth College and an associate editor for Callaloo.
