Boxer ‘Ohana 55th Lū'au Festivities

Lū'au has and will always be a special tradition at Pacific University. It is a time where students, parents, faculty, staff, and the community of Forest Grove come together as an ‘Ohana to celebrate and share the culture of Hawai‛i. Students develop life-long friends. Parents get to bond and remain connected. Faculty and Staff are surrounded by aloha and pride. The second Saturday in April will always be something to look forward to.

Amazingly, this year Nā Haumāna O Hawai'i presents their 55th Annual Lū'au.

Yes, that means the Hawai‛i Club has been putting on a show at Pacific University for 55 years. Some can remember when it was done in the University Center (UC). Others can remember when it was done on a small stage. When was the last time you’ve been to lū'au? Every year, it is a little bit different. The one thing that remains constant is the amount of time, effort, love, and commitment that the Boxer ‘Ohana put in to it. It has become such a production now, that I can honestly say it’s the best lū'au I have ever seen.

To complement this year’s celebration of Nā Haumāna O Hawai'i’s 55th Annual Lū'au, we invite all family and friends of Pacific University to join us in the Boxer ‘Ohana 55th Lū'au Festivities. We will have several casually planned events for our Boxer ‘Ohana throughout the weekend, beginning from Thursday of that week culminating with the lū'au on Saturday. Feel free to come to some or all of the planned events and share the joy, aloha and Boxer Spirit that radiates throughout Pacific University.
