Drs. John Harrelson and Ashim Malhotra Represent School of Pharmacy at 2015 ASPET

The Pacific University School of Pharmacy would like to recognize Dr. John Harrelson and Dr. Ashim Malhotra for their excellent work and service at the 2015 American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) Conference held in April in Boston, MA.

Dr. John Harrelson was recently elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Drug Metabolism Division of ASPET.  In addition to this honor, Dr. Harrelson served as a judge for the graduate student/post-doctoral poster competition for the Drug Metabolism Division at Experimental Biology 2015.

Dr. Ashim Malhotra presented a poster at the 2015 ASPET Conference. The poster entitled “Overcoming Chemoresistance in Pancreatic Cancer: Targeting the Apoptotic Protein Machinery using Raloxifene” was a collaboration between Pacific University’s Department of Environmental Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Pharmacy. Student co-authors included two pharmacy students, Jenny Ho and Esther Burunova, and an undergraduate student, Pritika Chand.
