In the News: Students Fill A Gap In Mental Health Care For Immigrants

Students in Pacific University's master's of counseling and doctor of clinical psychology degree programs were recently mentioned in a National Public Radio story for services they provide to the underserved Latino community. The Latino Bilingual track of Pacific's PhD program combines academic and clinical training experiences intended to prepare students to work with Latinos of origin and Spanish speaking populations.

Clinical supervisor Shahana Koslofsky provided insight about the mental health challenges underserved Latinos may face, including post-traumatic stress disorder, on NPR's All Things Considered.

Operated by Pacific's School of Professional Psychology, the Pacific Psychology and Comprehensive Health Clinic provides a number of outpatient services, including mental health and primary care, to people of all backgrounds.
