In the News: US News & World Report Lists Pacific University and Forest Grove Among its Top Destinations for Turning a College Visit into a Vacation

US News & World Report has named Pacific University and Forest Grove, Ore. among its top destinations for students' parents and other family members to enjoy a vacation while visiting the student's college or university.

Pacific and Forest Grove appear in USNWR's Turn Your Visit Into a Vacation at these 10 Colleges online story that published Aug. 23, alongside such destinations as Ithaca, N.Y., Bar Harbor, Maine, Silver City, N.M. and Orem, Utah.

In part of his profile of Pacific and Forest Grove, writer Roger Sands writes, "After enjoying quality time exploring campus, and enjoying the renowned musicians and performances of the acclaimed Performing Art Series at Pacific University, take in the area's 40 specialty stores, antiques, coffee shops, restaurants, spas and galleries."

The Forest Grove Campus is Pacific’s primary residential campus, serving most of our undergraduate students. In addition to more than 65 undergraduate areas of study, we also offer master and doctorate level programs in education, optometry and business in Forest Grove.

On the west edge of the Portland Metro Area, Forest Grove offers perfect proximity to the city and the great outdoors. You’re a short drive or public transit ride from downtown Portland, or just an hour away from the Oregon Coast or Cascade Mountains. Surfing or skiing, kayaking or canoeing, biking, hiking and rock climbing are all adventures available just out our backdoor.
