Professor Jules Boykoff Analyzes, Opines on Olympic Games Politics

Analysis by Pacific University associate professor Jules Boykoff about the latest developments surrounding the right to host the 2024 Olympic Games appears in the recent coverage of the Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe and elsewhere.

An internationally cited scholar on the politics of sport, Boykoff also wrote an essay for the United Kingdom's Guardian newspaper about China and Kazakhstan's bids to host the 2022 Winter Games.

Boykoff, who chairs the Politics & Government Department at Pacific, received a Fulbright Award to conduct research in Brazil later this year related to the 2016 Olympic Games being held in Rio de Janeiro.
