Remembrance of Kiden Dilla and Ayan Osman Scheduled for Monday, April 14

A ceremony to honor the lives of Kiden Dilla and Ayan Osman will take place on Monday, Apr. 14 at 7 p.m. in McCready Hall at the Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center on the Forest Grove Campus.

Dilla and Osman, both first-year undergraduate students, were tragically killed in a two-vehicle accident north of Forest Grove on Monday, April 7.

"Kiden and Ayan joined our Boxer family this past fall and were taken from us far too soon,” President Lesley Hallick said. "I hope that in time, some peace and solace will be found in the memories of these bright young women who graced our campus with their spirits and their contributions."

Dilla and Osman, 18 and 19 years old respectively, were active members of the Black Student Union.

Fellow BSU members, faculty and friends recently painted the Spirit Bench to create a place to remember and honor Kiden and Ayan. At the conclusion of Monday’s remembrance in McCready Hall, attendees will be invited to take part in a brief candlelight vigil at the Spirit Bench.
