School of Occupational Therapy Welcomes New Faculty

Dr. John White, director of the School of Occupational Therapy, is pleased to announce the arrival of our new faculty member, Steve Park.

Steve Park, associate professor, returns to Pacific University after a hiatus to teach and pursue his PhD in occupational therapy at the University of Sydney, Australia. He is a former associate professor from the School of Occupational Therapy at Pacific with a reputation for engaging teaching. Steve consults and regularly leads continuing professional development courses in the United Kingdom to promote client-centered assessment and intervention. His research follows his primary areas of interest in occupational therapy, that is evaluation of client-centred outcomes, play and leisure, aging and role of the environment in how people occupy their time.

While living in Australia, Steve became an enthusiastic urban cyclist. Although he will miss cycling around Sydney Harbour, he looks forward to exploring the Portland environs on two wheels.
