Pacific University adopted a Floating Holiday Award for commencement event staff to recognize the additional duties and contributions of exempt staff when assisting with the May and August commencement ceremonies for our graduates. Salary-exempt staff who work at the May Commencement will be assigned commencement floating holiday hours to be used through April 30, 2025.

It is pharmacy postgraduate Residency Match season and the national results are in for both the first and second phases of the Match. On March 13th and April 10th, our PharmD Class of 2024 and alumni achieved a combined match rate of 90% for Postgraduate Year One (PGY-1) National Matching System (NMS)-listed programs. This continues the strong performance of last year. These are wonderful results when nearly 50% of the graduating class will be pursuing postgraduate education.
There is a new kiosk in the Library's 24-hour room stocked with food from the Food Share, and soon will offer school supplies from the Free Store.
Spring is finally here and some people are preparing for spring break while others may have already had their vacations. Either way, spring is a good time to prepare a personal safety plan.
In July 2023, Dr. Nathan Doctor joined our faculty team here at a Pacific University School of Pharmacy. Now that one full semester has gone by and we're now mid-way through spring semester, we thought we'd catch up with him, ask him a few questions and find out how things are going!
