Harbison has been practicing dental hygiene since 2000. In 2016, she returned to school to advance her dental hygiene knowledge and career, earning her master’s at Idaho State University.

In February, our Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Brandon Nuziale, along with pharmacy practice faculty members Dr. Nathan Doctor and Dr. Katie Steele (Dr. Steele starts with PUSOP on April 1!), joined sophomore and juniors at Glencoe High School in Hillsboro for a Health Sciences Career Exploration Event.
In a commendable display of commitment to community engagement, students from Pacific University School of Pharmacy have been actively involved in outreach initiatives at the Beaverton Academy of Science and Engineering (BASE). The collaboration aims to empower high school students with valuable skills essential for exploring careers in healthcare, aligning with the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) guidelines.
John Ruskin, the 19th century writer and philosopher once said, “In general, pride is at the bottom of all great mistakes.”  Yikes.  But let’s be real, this is the same guy that said, “No human being, however great, or powerful, was ever so free as a fish.”  Is it bad to be proud?  What about being prideful?  If it comes at the expense of humility or humanity, that’s not good, but the feeling of satisfaction that comes from achievement is not intrinsically wrong. So let me ask you: are you proud of yourself?
