Lena Cavusoglu, assistant professor of Marketing, has co-authored a chapter in the Handbook of Research on Ethnic and Intra-cultural Marketing. The chapter critically examines how Western beauty ideals in the fashion industry impact women of color.
Around the World is an event celebrating all of the cultural diversity on our campus.  Dinner service that evening in the UC will be open to all, meal plan or no meal plan, and will feature food from all over the world. Plus enjoy performances from cultural clubs and traditional games!
Have you talked to your faculty advisor lately? For most of us, the answer is probably “no.”  Some of us barely talk to our spouses, children, or parents! My faculty advisor hasn’t worked at Pacific for over a decade (I’m talking about you, Kenny Jackson).  We get a newsletter once in a while (like now…).  
The Northwest Experiential Consortium (NWPEC) is made up of seven pharmacy programs located in the Northwest Region and includes (Pacific University, Oregon State University, University of Washington, Washington State, University of Montana, University of Wyoming, and Idaho State University).
In July 2023, Pacific University School of Pharmacy had two new faculty join our program, Alina Yanovich and Nathan Doctor. Learn more about them. 
Pacific University would like to welcome Kevin Means, our new Dining general manager. He began his culinary journey in 2005 at the California Culinary Academy and has worked with the Bon Appétit team for over 10 years.
Dust off your costumes. Pacific's Staff Senate is hosting its annual Halloween Costume Contest. You are invited to attend the big reveal and enjoy treats on Oct. 31, on the Forest Grove and Hillsboro campuses.

As a whole, the Pacific Hall project remains on schedule for a Jan. 10 completion date, and the buidling is on track to re-open by the start of spring term. We also are excited to see the new classrooms, computer labs, pods, and offices take shape on level 2 over the last couple weeks.
