Bring your inspiration to the 2023 Inspired Ideas Competition hosted by the Berglund Center. All degree-seeking students at Pacific University are encouraged to register by Friday. Winners receive scholarships and opportunities to turn their prototypes into reality. Please note the competition start time of 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22.
The Queer Experience
The 1990s was a watershed period for LGBTQ+ rights across the country. In Oregon and at Pacific, incremental gains were accomplished amid a climate of of fear and hostility. Through the social and institutional challenges, progress continued. Today, the university works to celebrate diversity.
Athletics is hosting its first Junior Boxer All-Sports Camp in June! This summer camp is for children entering first through eighth grade. Campers will get an opportunity to experience a wide variety of sports led by Pacific's own coaching staff and student-athletes.
Celebrate Earth Day with live music, free earth-friendly snacks, a gift basket giveaway, a beer garden for students ages 21 and over, and more! Join us from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 22, on the Marsh East Lawn, or on the UC patio if it rains.

Over the last 30 years at Pacific, programs were added and expanded; enrollment grew. The vast majority — about 80 percent — of Pacific’s living alumni attended the university in the last 30 years. Now scattered from Washington County, Oregon, to points around the planet, they represent an increased diversity of disciplines and experiences, as well as after-graduation achievement.

Bobadilla
Spanish-speaking people who have a problem curbing their impulses to gamble may soon benefit from a more culturally customized app being developed by Leo Bobadilla, a professor in Pacific University’s Graduate School of Psychology.
Yang and McCallum
Nonfiction writer Kao Kalia Yang and poet Shara McCallum, both of whom teach in Pacific University’s low-residency Master of Fine Arts in Writing program, each have been awarded 2023 Guggenheim Foundation Fellowships.
From small appliances to clothing and school supplies, the Finders Keepers free store has everything you need! The store is conveniently located in the garage by Drake House, at 2124 College Way, and is open daily to Pacific students, faculty and staff from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Tom McCall Center for Civic Engagement wants to remind voters that time is running out to participate in Oregon's May 16 special election. Voters must register to vote or update their voter registration details by Tuesday, April 25. Learn more about what's at stake this year at the ballot box.
