Pacific University offers two different types of Lodging Accommodations for individuals affiliated with Pacific University looking to stay on our beautiful Forest Grove campus. If you are affiliated with Pacific University and require lodging, please review our Guest Apartment and Short-Term Guest Housing to see which best fits your needs and who qualifies for each space. If you are not affiliated with Pacific University or here for a scheduled conference and require lodging, below is a list of hotels near our campus.

Guest Apartment

Pacific University offers one short term use guest apartment on the Forest Grove Campus. The apartment is available to employees, alumni and trustees. The apartment may also be rented for university guests who will present or perform at the University. The guest apartment includes a full kitchen with basic dishware and essentials, a private bathroom and is furnished including one full size bed. Linens and towels are provided. The Guest Apartment has a maximum stay limit of three nights. Eligible guests requiring extended stays are encouraged to utilize Short-Term Guest Housing, details here. In the event that an extended stay is approved for the Guest Apartment, it shall not exceed 6 nights and a $200 enhanced cleaning fee will be charged in addition to the nightly rate.

If you have questions regarding the Guest Apartment or would like to make a reservation, please submit a ticket.

Emergency Housing
Emergency Housing is intended for Pacific University commuter students or employees that need a place to stay for 1-2 nights due to a serious and unexpected situation requiring immediate relocation while they coordinate another housing solution. If an eligible guest determines they need to stay longer than 1-2 nights, they may apply for Short-Term Guest Housing. For urgent needs, we aim to get guest(s) checked into their rooms within 24-hours of a ticket being submitted. However, we do not work on the weekends, so would need to be notified by a Pacific University Administrator outside of normal procedures.

If you are in need of Emergency Housing, please submit a ticket.

Short-Term Guest Housing (located on the Forest Grove campus)

* Short-Term Guest Housing is a brand new service offering. You can still go in to make reservation requests, but information below may alter slightly as we are fine-tune this service.

Clark Hall was constructed in 1966 as a traditional Residence Hall for students. It is now used to accommodate affiliated guests in need of short-term housing that will be on the Forest Grove or Hillsboro Campus for University academic business and have a current Pacific employee sponsoring the request (i.e. visiting scholars, special student program requirement). Short-Term Guest Housing can be requested through our service portal under Student Affairs Operations. The housing options are traditional dorm-style rooms (single, double, and quad rooms) with a community bathroom on each floor. Short-Term Guest Housing has a minimum stay requirement of 3 nights and a maximum stay limit of 8 weeks (longer stays may be considered). Depending on your reservation request, it may be necessary for groups to have chaperons stay with guests at their expense. Please read through the Short-Term Guest Housing Agreement, prior to making a reservation. When the University is closed, such as during Winter Break, Short-Term Guest Housing is not available.

If you have questions regarding Short-Term Guest Housing or would like to make a reservation, please submit a ticket.

amenities: fans and portable space heaters available by advanced request (limited availability), cooling station on 3rd floor, access to microwave and refrigerator, free Wi-Fi.

Please note the following: Clark is an old building that has not been renovated since it was built in 1966, so it does have old pipes, no air-conditioning and issues that a newer building would not. It is important to know that if you are looking for a stay with more amenities then local hotels may be a better option. If you want to be on-campus and don't mind an old dormitory experience, this is a good inexpensive option.

Rates and Discounts (Short-Term Guest Housing Only)

Room Costs
The cost of Short-Term Guest Housing is $45.00 per person/per night.

Linen and towels are included in the per night/per person cost listed above, but if you bring your own, you will receive a one-time $35.00 discount. By opting into this, you are responsible for providing your own pillow, pillowcase, sheets, blanket, bath towel, hand towel, and a washcloth.

Food Service Costs
The cost of Short-Term Guest Housing Meal Plan is $18.50 per person/per day, which covers Lunch and Dinner. Due to the limited amenities, if your stay is longer than 1-week, you will be required to participate in the Short-Term Guest Housing Meal Plan. This Meal Plan will give you access to eat in the Forest Grove Pacific Cafe, which offers fresh and delicious all-you-care-to-eat meals. The only exception to this Meal Plan requirement is if your stay is less than 1-week or if your stay is during the Summer months when there are no regular hours in the Cafe. During this time, you will be given access to a kitchen to use. Note: mini-fridges & microwaves are available for use year-round.
*Your Meal Plan begins the day after check-in and ends the night before check-out.

When a reservation request has been submitted and approved, the Department of Student Affairs Operations will create the invoice and will send it to the customer making the request for payment. Dining Options (Short-Term Guest Housing only)

Our Forest Grove and Hillsboro campuses are home to a small number of diverse restaurants that are all within walking distance from our campus. We also have dining options such as the Café which features fresh and delicious food, the Market which offers convenience store-like items, and Starbucks on the Forest Grove campus and the Market on the Hillsboro campus. All of these options take cash or card as forms of payment. Guests who request to stay on campus longer than 1 week will be required to purchase a Short-Term Guest Housing Meal Plan, as we do not have sufficient cooking facility options available in Clark Hall. Guests who are here less than a week have the option to purchase a Short-Term Guest Housing Meal Plan as well. Rate is listed above

Sponsor and/or Chaperone Resource (Short-Term Guest Housing only)

The purpose of a Sponsor and/or Chaperone is to ensure that guests staying in Short-Term Guest Housing have guidance and a point of contact, should they need assistance during their stay. Depending on the size of the group requesting to stay in Short-Term Guest Housing, a chaperone may be required. Please review the Sponsor / Chaperone Expectations for more information.
