All conferences must provide a certificate of liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $1 million. An endorsement naming Pacific University, its trustees, agents, officers and employees must be included as additional insured. Most insurance companies are very familiar with this type of request and can supply the certificate within a short period of time.
In some cases, Pacific University can direct conference organizers to a company to obtain insurance coverage. Purchase is made online by the conference organizer. Rates are determined by the type of event, number of days on campus and estimated attendance.
