Learn How to Channel Tenure and Promotion Goals into Reality
Do your goals for the new year include applying for tenure or promotion? Are you a faculty member considering service on a personnel committee? Are you early in your academic career and looking to just learn more about the process? Start 2024 with this training, which is open to all faculty including those on extended term appointments.
The Provost’s Office and the University Personnel Committee are offering an online training from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, for faculty interested in learning more about the requirements of tenure and promotion.
The first hour of the training will include information applicable to all faculty. The second half of the meeting will take place in break-out rooms where faculty can ask deans and personnel committee chairs about specifics related to the tenure and promotion process within their specific college or unit.
The general training will be recorded and available upon request through the college personnel committee chairs.
