All Pacific University programs eligible for accreditation are fully accredited or are new programs seeking initial accreditation. The following information is provided in accordance to federal regulation.
Federal Regulation 668.43 (b) requirements for institutions of higher education
668.43 (b) Institutional Information: The institution must make available for review to any enrolled or prospective student upon request, a copy of the documents describing the institution's accreditation and its State, Federal or tribal approval or licensing. The institution must also provide its students or prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with its accreditor and with its State approval or licensing entity and any other relevant State official or agency that would appropriately handle a student's complaint.
Pacific University State of Oregon License
Pacific University is duly licensed by the State of Oregon Office of Degree Authorization (ODA) as a Degree-Granting Institution of Higher Education. The ODA provides for the protection of the citizens of Oregon and their postsecondary schools by ensuring the quality of higher education and preserving the integrity of an academic degree as a public credential. ODA administers laws, standards, and services that protect students, holders of legitimately earned degrees, institutions, businesses, employers, patients or clients and licensing boards.

Pacific University’s Speech-Language Pathology program is in the process of obtaining accreditation candidacy from the Council on Academic Accreditations (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). We expect to be approved for candidacy by July, 2012.

Master in Health Administration Program
Accreditation for Pacific University’s Master in Health Administration program is in progress. The program is seeking accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME).
Graduate Certificate Program in Health Care Compliance
Pacific University approval of this certificate program is in progress. If approved, the program will seek accreditation by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA)
School of Dental Health Science
Pacific University’s program in Dental Hygiene is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.

The Doctor of Pharmacy program of the Pacific University School of Pharmacy was awarded full accreditation status during the June 2009 meeting of the Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Board of Directors, based upon an on-site evaluation conducted March 2009. Full accreditation status was extended during the June 2011 meeting of the ACPE Board of Directors, based upon an on-site evaluation conducted April 2011. Pacific University’s Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.

School of Physician Assistant Studies
Pacific University’s School of Physician Assistant Studies has received full accreditation from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) through September 2016. Graduates from an ARC-PA accredited program are eligible to sit for the national Physician Assistant certification examination.
School of Physical Therapy
Pacific’s School of Physical Therapy is accredited by the Commission in Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) after having demonstrated substantial compliance with the evaluative criteria. Accreditation has been granted April 26, 2006 to June 30, 2016.
Masters in Counseling Program
The Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (the Oregon Board) approves Pacific University’s graduate counseling program as meeting professional counselor licensing education requirements. The Board sets education standards consistent with those established by CACREP. CACREP is an independent agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to accredit master's degree programs in addiction counseling, career counseling, clinical mental health counseling, marriage, couple, and family counseling, school counseling, student affairs and college counseling.

Psy. D. Program
Pacific University’s Psy.D. program is accredited by the American Psychological Association’s Commission on Accreditation. The APA Commission on Accreditation (APA-CoA) is recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education and the Council of Higher Education Accreditation, as the national accrediting authority for professional education and training in psychology.

The College of Optometry is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education. The Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) is the only accrediting body for professional optometric degree (O.D.) programs, optometric residency programs and optometric technician programs in the United States and Canada.
