"LOVE, LOVING AND IN LOVE"
Few
things are more meaningful to college students today than "love,"
whatever it may mean. Are you working at sustaining a long-distance
romance? Are you hoping that along with a degree you might find a
meaningful relationship in your college years? Have you had trouble
maintaining intimate connections with your romantic partners? Are you
involved in a turbulent partnership or perhaps a seemingly perfect one?
Whatever your situation, if you think you would benefit from discussing
the subject of "love" with a small and serious group facilitated by Kim
Chadwick, MSW, and Dick Kroll, join our group discussions. Wednesdays
in October, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Dog House, McCormick Residence
Hall. Come to the basement door of McCormick; the other doors will be
locked. You may sign up for one, some or all of the discussions.
Wednesday, October 1: "Three Faces of Love:" a discussion of the
meaning of love
Wednesday, October 8: "Romance:" a discussion and an instrument to define and discuss its importance in relationships
Wednesday,
October 15: "Communication:" explore skills with a focus on
parent-like, adult-like, and child-like communication dynamics
Wednesday,
October 22: "Personal Expectations:" ponder how our own personalities
affect our communication and relationships using a tool to determine
personal strengths and points of vulnerability.
Space is limited, so RSVP to Kim Chadwick, Wellness Counselor, at kchadwick@pacificu.edu
