Psychological Services

Each year, the Center for Gender Equity is staffed with a student from Pacific University’s School of Professional Psychology. The student is a fourth-year doctoral student who typically possesses a master’s degree in clinical or counseling psychology and receives supervision from a licensed clinical psychologist.

Counseling Services

Currently, individual and couples psychotherapy services are available at a reduced rate for community members in the Washington county area. To schedule an intake appointment or for more information, interested individuals can leave a confidential voicemail message at (503) 352-2079.

Pacific University students who are seeking counseling services are advised to visit Pacific’s Student Counseling Center website at http://www.pacificu.edu/studentlife/counselingcenter/ or call at (503) 352-2191. In case of emergency or after Center hours, please call 911 or the Washington County Crisis line at (503) 291-9111.

Support Groups

Women who identify as a nontraditional and/or transfer student at Pacific are invited to attend our ongoing support group at the Center for Gender Equity. The group currently meets at our Center location in Drake House. Contact the Center for Gender Equity for more information about these groups. Past topics of discussion include stress management, family issues, maintaining balance, and viewing life experience as strengths when interacting with traditional-aged peers.
