International Baccalaureate (IB) Student Benefits

Students who complete the IB Diploma with a score of 30 or higher will receive the following benefits

A renewable four-year scholarship of $3,000 per year will be awarded. Students will also automatically be considered for other Pacific University awards provided they meet application deadlines. The combination of institutional scholarships and grants may not exceed the total cost of tuition and fees.

Membership into the Deans’ Reading Group

Students join the Dean and Associate Deans for a lunch or dinner and discuss readings that are connected to a scholarly event on campus. 

Students will be granted sophomore standing.

Personalized Advising and Support

In addition to customized academic advising, students will also receive individual support in preparing applications for prestigious awards such as the Fulbright, Truman, Goldwater, and Rhodes scholarships.

Engaging Academic Communities

Pacific University will provide students with extensive pre-professional advising through its career development office and Advantage program, customized workshops focused on international and study abroad interests and faculty support within which to conduct graduate level research at the undergraduate level.

Pacific University will award 8 semester credits for higher level examinations passed with a score of 5 or higher and 4 semester credits for standard level examinations passed with a 5 or higher.
