Research Interests
Dr. Whiteley is actively involved in the design and development of spacecraft batteries, especially nickel-hydrogen cells. This has included technical consulting for the Hubble Space Telescope and Space Station Freedom programs. He is a contributing author to NASA's handbook for Nickel-Cadmium battery cell analysis.
