Research Interests

Kazuko's research interests include East Asian literatures and cultures, gender and translation theory, and postcolonial studies.
Her dissertation concerns the formation of ethnicity and language through literatures and translations by Japanese, Korean, and Chinese writers in Manchukuo.
She also co-translated two colonial Taiwanese articles.
