Conference Transportation
Getting to/from Forest Grove
Transportation to and from Forest Grove is via MAX light rail, commercial shuttle, or private vehicle.
- MAX: For information on MAX see Directions – Public Transportation. Board MAX at the airport to the City Center (Red Line). Transfer to the Blue Line going to Hillsboro. Get off at Hillsboro Transit Center and take Bus 47 to Forest Grove. Get off at the last stop in Forest Grove and call "Conference Pickup" (503 502 4893)* for a ride to your hotel. To return to airport, do the reverse. The trip takes about an hour and a half and costs under $5.00.
- Commercial Shuttles: Shuttles are available on demand at the airport. Shuttle rates are best if you arrange round trip transportation with the same company. The trip takes around an hour and costs about $45.00 each way.
- Private Vehicle: A parking permit will be included in your registration packet. If you are driving, park in front of Old College Hall on College Way, just off 21st Avenue (map), register, and apply the permit to your vehicle. This will permit you to park in any of the Pacific public parking spaces, which are plentiful.
Getting Around Forest Grove
The conference will provide shuttle services to and from the conference hotels and Pacific University on request. However, it may be necessary to wait at high-traffic times, so plan accordingly. For shuttle services, call "Conference Shuttle" at 503 502 4893.
Forest Grove is well served by a local bus (47), which goes to the university (see Directions – Public Transportation). You will receive a bus schedule in your registration packet.
Many of the hotels are within walking distance of Pacific University.
Getting to/from and Around Portland
If you wish to explore Portland, use the MAX light rail system. Take Bus 47 to the Hillsboro Transit Center, and then catch MAX to downtown Portland (see “Directions – Public Transportation”). You will receive a MAX map in your registration packet and information about Portland’s highlights.
