Study Abroad in Adelaide, Australia

Program Information

The city of Adelaide is the cultural and economic center of the state of
South Australia. With a population of 1.1 million, Adelaide is a major
Australian city, with a multicultural composition, outstanding physical location, natural environment and thriving arts scene. How
ever, it also has the distinct character and feel of a small city, with
few traffic problems, and an extremely welcoming population. Adelaide is especially notable for the remarkable areas that surround it, including its spectacular coastline, the Barossa Valley (Australia's primary wine-producing region), Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island. The areas around the city are dotted with conservation parks where students can experience large tracts of natural bushland with a striking array of native Australian flora and fauna, and wildlife.

Students will be enrolled at Flinders University, a medium sized Australian university, with a total enrollment of approximately 15,000. Flinders is one of Australia's most beautiful campuses, set amidst an area of natural bushland with spectacular, sweeping views of Adelaide and the surrounding coastline.
