Study Abroad in Munich
Curriculum
The Lewis & Clark Year of Study in Munich offers a variety of courses covering a wide range of topics. All deal with various aspects of German culture. The courses are designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, knowledge and experience. In one of Germany's culturally richest and most stimulating cities students have the chance
to live what they learn. The city of Munich becomes the classroom, and participants are able to travel through many centuries of European and German history, politics, literature, and art.
- Class sizes during the Year of Study in Munich usually do not exceed 12 students. This guarantees a relaxed, productive, and stimulating atmosphere.
- Students may choose from a variety of German Studies courses offered by Lewis & Clark. We also encourage students to take advantage of the wide range of courses at the University of Munich, which accomodate students' interests in areas other than German Studies. Courses at the University of Munich are listed in the Vorlesungsverzeichnis (course catalogue).
- The program starts on the first Monday in September with a 4-week pre-semester. The pre-semester ensures the best possible preparation before the University courses start in mid-October.
