Mathematics: Faculty
Mathematics students at Pacific University work side-by-side with outstanding scholars and teachers. Our faculty publish research articles in international journals including The Journal of Graph Theory, International Journal of Differential Equations and Applications, The Quarterly Journal of Mathematics, Mathematics Magazine, Communications in Analysis and Geometry, and the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing.
The mathematics faculty are active members and officers of national organizations including the Mathematical Association of America, Association of Women in Mathematics, the American Mathematical Society, The Pacific Institute for Mathematics, and The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
The faculty have received local and national recognition by receiving grants from agencies such as the National Science Foundation. And most importantly, many of our mathematics faculty have won teaching awards for their outstanding work with students.
