General Media Studies
The focus of the General Media Arts major is to provide students with a broad background in a variety of media. Students learn how to write for print and broadcast, how to create still and moving visual images and how to utilize the latest computer communication technology. Communication and the media today involve a variety of technologies and a working knowledge of these technologies helps graduates feel comfortable and able to contribute in a number of settings. Public relations, corporate and institutional communications and marketing are three of the main areas general media arts students enter after graduation.
