Biography
Arlyn Curtis began double bass studies in Portland Oregon with Kenneth Baldwin, Associate Principal Bass of the Oregon Symphony. While in Portland Mr. Curits was Principal Bass of the Portland State University Orchestra and the Portland Youth Philharmonic. He continued his studies at the Peabody Conservatory where his teachers included Robert Kesslman and John Hood of the Philadelphia Orchestra. He returned to the Northwest in 2005 to join the Tacoma Symphony and shortly after joined the faculty at Pacific University.
