Biography
In addition to being on the Voice Faculty at Pacific University, Karen operates her own private vocal teaching studio in the Beaverton area. She holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees in Music Education from Portland State University, and taught grades K-12 in the Tigard and Hillsboro school districts for 10 years. Karen’s vocal career focused on Contemporary Commercial, Musical Theatre and Nightclub singing. She is a requested vocal coach for musical theatre companies, high school drama and choral departments. Karen is also an adjudicator for vocal solo competitions and festivals.
