Preference Development Lab

Welcome to the Preference Development Lab at Pacific University. Our research is focused on the development of preferences throughout the lifespan, with particular emphasis on how preferences for human faces develop and change based on experience. Many social stereotypes are based on rapid appraisals of others' faces; therefore, understanding how these judgments are formed may be the first step toward being able to undo the negative consequences associated with these stereotypes. Because we examine the development several processes, we often study children. Thank you for visiting, and please feel free to contact us with questions regarding the lab, our research, or opportunties to participate.

Sincerely,

Connor Principe, Ph.D.
