Theatre & Dance

Current Production:

ON THE VERGE

The Department of Theatre and Dance offers high-quality theatrical productions to the campus and community, while providing real-world work experiences for participants.

The department offers major and minor programs in theatre, and a minor in dance. Students in these programs enjoy Pacific’s excellent liberal arts education, while developing skills in acting, directing, dance, choreography, playwriting, design, communication, and problem-solving. Our programs prepare students for graduate school or careers in theatre, television, film, teaching, or public relations.

About Theatre and Dance at Pacific:

  • We seek motivated, ambitious students who want to be challenged
    and grow as artists.

  • Productions are open to all. You don't have to be a major to act,
design, write, dance, choreograph, or direct.

  • Senior Projects in Theatre and Dance include substantial endeavors
in performance, design, directing, research, choreography, and
    playwriting.

We maintain two theatres: a 175-seat proscenium house and a 60-seat black-box theatre for rehearsal, one-acts and experimental productions. Our seasons typically include two faculty-directed productions, two student-directed shows, and two dance concerts.
