Theatre Students

Gavin Knittle (class of 2013) played Gonzago in Bag & Baggage Theatre's summer production of The Tempest.  Gavin will spend Fall semester studying in England.

Mike Johnson (2013) had his play The Harlequins selected for production in The Dalles, Oregon.

Ted Gold (2012) spent Spring semester studying at York St. John University in England.

Katie Mortemore (2012) has been cast as Cecile Volange in Bag & Baggae Theatre's upcoming production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

Theatre Graduates

Molly Clasen (class of 2011) was selected for a year-long internship at Actors Theatre of Louisville; she began her work at Actors in August. 

Ashley Schalow (2010) won the top prize in the Bill and Peggy Hunt Playwrights Festival for her play Bold Grace: The Voyages of the Pirate O'Malley.  The play has gone on to production in Auburn, and a touring version is being seen in area public schools.

Sean Lindsay (2010) will be seen as Danceny in Bag & Baggage Theatre's production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

Elizabeth Houghton (2008) is currently performing with Pendulum Aerial Theatre of Portland. 

Matthew Sa (2007) has recently been seen in an episode of the TNT television drama Leverage, in the Broadway Rose production of The King and I, and in the Portland Shakespeare Project's production of As You Like It.  He will be seen in The Wizard of Oz at the Newmark Theatre this December. 

Dance Students

Katie Gillem (class of 2013) will spend the summer teaching at the American Dance Training Camp in the Cascade Mountains, Mt. Hood, Oregon.

Dance Graduates

Brooke Arndt (class of 2010) will begin graduate school at St. Mary's College, Moraga, California, in the fall. 

Brad Forkner (2009) has been accepted into the American Dance Festival for this coming summer.


Professor Tal Sanders served as scenic designer for On the Eve of Friday Morning and A Wrinkle in Time for the Oregon Children's Theatre last season.  This year, he rejoins OCT for several shows, and will also design at Theatre Vertigo and CoHo Productions.


Professor Jennifer Camp and the Pacific Dance Ensemble presented presented an excerpt from Camp's new work "Beneath the Surface" in the Blue Sky Choreographers' Concert in April. 

In the last season, Ellen Margolis has had plays produced at the Bloomington Playwright's Project and Stageworks/Hudson.  She was a finalist in the Trustus National Playwriting Contest and served as a guest adjudicator for the NEW by NW Playwrights Competition.
