Campus Fire Alarm Tests Planned

Fire alarms on the Forest Grove and Hillsboro campuses will be tested the week of June 3-7, with additional tests possible June 17-21.

Metro Safety and Fire will conduct annual tests of the fire alarm systems in Forest Grove and Hillsboro campus buildings this week (June 3-7) and possibly the week of June 17-21.

Residence halls in Forest Grove will be tested June 3-4. All other buildings with alarm systems and/or sprinklers at both campuses will be tested as time allows during the week.

Metro hopes to complete all testing this week. If additional time is needed, Metro will return the week of June 17-21 to complete the tests.

The tests will NOT require evacuation. If you are unsure whether or not an alarm is just a test, please call Campus Public Safety at 503-352-2230 in Forest Grove, or 503-352-7207 in Hillsboro. Metro Safety and Rescue will be on site and wearing identifiable uniforms.

If there is a specific date that a building cannot have a brief disturbance to conduct a test, or you have questions or concerns, please contact CPS at 503-352-2230.

Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.
