JAZZ NITE - April 11 - 7:30pm - McCready Hall

Pacific's Music Department presents Jazz Nite

Jazz Nite is always the most exciting jazz event of the semester! This concert will feature “Caravan” by Duke Ellington, the famous ballad “Misty,” and the jazz standard “Stormy Weather.” If you like blues, you’ll love “Filthy McNasty,” which features multiple blues solos. Also on the agenda will be two works by contemporary composer Gordon Goodwin, “Count Bubba,” and “Jazz Police.” Our special guest artist, pianist George Mitchell, will be featured throughout the program, and our Jazz Improvisation class, led by John Gross, will perform in the middle of the concert.

This concert is Friday, April 11th at 7:30 p.m. in McCready Hall. It is free to students with ID, $5 for faculty, children and seniors. General admission is $7.
