Paws for a Cause is a fundraising dog walk/event for the non-profit, no-kill Born Again Pit Bull Rescue in Portland, Oregon. We will be having a laid back walk, some fun competitions(doggleganger and costume) and a raffle!
Who: Animal lovers who wish to support our cause and help us raise money towards the goal of no more homeless pets while having a good time. People and their leashed dogs are invited to attend. Those without dogs are also welcome and there will be activities for everone.
What: Paws for a Cause is a fundraising dog event/walk for the non-profit, no-kill Born Again Pit Bull Rescue in Portland, Oregon. This shelter is one of the network partners of Best Friends Animal Society. We will be having a laid back walk, the chance for some educational conversations, a raffle, as well as some competitions such as a dog costume contest, doggleganger (do you look like your dog?), and dog jeopardy.
When: Paws for a Cause will be Saturday, May 3rd. Registration will start at 9:30 am, and then the competitions will go from then until the walk begins at 10:30 am.
Where: The event will be held at the east lawn of Marsh at Pacific University in Forest Grove.
Why: This event is being put on by students involved with the Companion Animal Science class at Pacific University. We spent our spring break volunteering at Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah and want to continue our involvement in the effort to Save Them All. All of the donations from this event will go straight to the Born Again Pit Bull Rescue in Portland, one of Best Friends' network partners.
