Washington County Sustainability Summit at Pacific

Feb 7, 2009 - Feb 8, 2009, 12:00 PM

The Washington County Sustainability Summit will bring together students, community organizers, and local leaders in sustainability to plan a greener future for our region. The event will include keynote speakers, panels, and workshops.

Learn about major sustainability issues in Washington County, and how you can be part of the solutions.  You'll hear from Pacific University faculty, local community organizers, and locally elected officials who have worked on environmental issues in our area.  Panels and workshops offered during the two-day Summit include Working with City and County Governments, Permaculture as a Solution to Energy Problems, Building an Intergenerational Climate Movement, and many more.  Tap into the movement that is changing the future of our region, and feel free to come with your own ideas and suggestions.  Now is the time to get involved!

The event is free, and open to the public.  Lunch will be served.  For a detailed schedule and to RSVP, please visit http://event.pingg.com/sustain-wa-county  RSVPing will allow us to update you with the location for the event, and other information you'll need.
