Mozart Requiem

Evening will feature the combined efforts of Pacific's music faculty and ensembles in performing one of Mozart's most important works.


Pacific University's Music Department will present the Mozart Requiem at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 4 in the Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center (2014 Cedar Street, Forest Grove).

The evening will feature the combined efforts of Pacific's Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, members of the Philharmonic orchestra and instrumental faculty members under the direction of Professor and choral activities director Scott Tuomi, D.M.A.

Featured soloists are members of the University's voice faculty: soprano Anne Reed, mezzo soprano Angela Niederloh, tenor Les Green and bass Konstantin Kvach.

The concert will also include selected works performed by the Chamber Singers, male a cappella group Splendid Audacity and female a cappella Voce Femme centered on themes of "war and redemption." Among the works is "In Flanders Fields," an award-winning piece by Pacific composer, Dr. Timothy Stephens.

General admission is $7. Senior citizens 65 and greater, and Pacific students, faculty and staff are admitted for $5.
