Stoller Center (2331 Main Street - Forest Grove)

The founder of a postcard project that showcases "secrets" from people all over the world will share some of them and the funny back stories behind them. Tickets become available on Tuesday, April 3.

Frank Warren will present PostSecret Live at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 in Pacific University's Bill and Cathy Stoller Center (2331 Main Street, Forest Grove).

Warren is the founder and curator of the PostSecret Project, a collection of over 500,000 highly personal and artfully decorated postcards mailed anonymously from around the world, displaying the soulful secrets people rarely voice publicly.

PostSecret Live is a multi-media presentation. Warren will share extraordinary "secrets" and reveal the inspiring and funny stories behind them.

His has authored several books, including New York Times best-seller PostSecret: Confessions on Life, Death, and God. His books will be available for purchase and a booksigning will follow the presentation.

His traveling exhibition of PostSecret cards was called by The Washington Post as one of the five best art shows of 2005. Warren released the PostSecret smart phone application in September 2011, allowing mobile users to share secrets instantly. It immediately shot to number one on the iTunes store.

He continues to receive between 100 and 200 postcards daily.

“I have been asked many times why I started this," Warren said. "It still feels to me as though this project found me. All I try to do is make the right decisions every day to protect the integrity of the project – and learn to trust the journey."

Tickets for Warren's upcoming presentation can be purchased boxofficetickets.com. General admission is $15. All proceeds provide funding for Pacific students to attend leadership conferences.

Pacific students with valid ID may obtain a ticket free of charge at the University Box Office in advance of the performance. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Warren's appearance is sponsored by Pacific University's Center for Gender Equity, College of Arts & Sciences Student Senate and the Residence Hall Association
