Keynote Speaker: Thomas Grisso,PhD How Psychological Research Has Transformed Juvenile Justice Policy and Forensic Practice


Thomas Grisso, PhD, ABPP, is Professor of Psychiatry, Director of Psychology, and Director of the Law and Psychiatry Program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester. For the past 30 years he has engaged in research and consultation to improve laws and policies applied to child and adult offenders, and to enhance the quality of forensic and mental health services in criminal, juvenile and civil justice systems.  He is author of seminal works in the field and has been honored by awards for distinguished service by the American Psychological Association and the American Psychiatric Association, as well as honorary recognition from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the Royal College of Psychiatrists (United Kingdom).
