Wine Tour

Sep 29, 2012, 1:00 PM
Oak Knoll, Ardiri and Kramer wineries

While in Forest Grove, dont miss out on the opportunity to visit some of the Pacific Northwest Wine Country.

Enjoy an afternoon of wine tasting in the Willamette Valley. Tour will depart from the Forest Grove campus at 1 p.m. and from the Hillsboro campus at 1:15 p.m. outside the entrance to HPC Building 2. Homecoming volunteers will be there to hand out nametags to registered guests.

First stop will be at Oak Knoll winery. Oak Knoll has always been a family operated business, with Marj and the children being involved since the first crush. Pinot Noir is the major focus of red wine production at Oak Knoll.

Then on to Árdíri, which offers award-winning Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris/Pinot Blanc blends from a five-acre vineyard of grapes in Napa Valley, Calif., and a 15-acre vineyard in the Willamette Valley, Ore. Guests can nestle up to a fire on their veranda while sipping their favorite wine.

Lastly, Kramer Vineyeard has an 18-acre vineyard with seven dedicated to Pinot Noir grapes. Their vineyard is commited to sustainability by replanting trees, reusing shipping materials and having light-weight glass bottles to cut their carbon footprint.

$20 per person | Advance registration required.
