Dr. Larry Lipin spoke about Andrew Carnegie and his role in Pacific's first library and thousands of others throughout the country.
In celebration of Carnegie Hall's centennial anniversary, Dr. Larry Lipin presented the story of Andrew Carnegie's philanthropy: "Wealth, Ambition and the Public Good: Andrew Carnegie and the Library."
Carnegie Hall is one of only three Carnegie-funded college libraries on the West Coast. It opened in the Fall of 1912 as Pacific's first library.
