Finalist for position in Asian History to give a talk based on his research
The Department of History invites members of the Pacific University community to attend a research talk by Dr. Rustin Gates, assistant professor of history at Bradley University, and a finalist for the faculty position in Asian history. Dr. Gates holds a 2007 doctorate from Harvard University and will speak on “Solving the ‘Manchurian Problem’: Uchida Yasuya and Japanese Foreign Affairs in the Prewar Era” from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. in the Library Conference Room, Thursday, Feb. 21.
