Slam Poet Andrea Gibson is coming to Pacific University
Date: March 1
Time: 7 to 9 p.m.
Place: La Hacienda, 2020 Main, Forest Grove
Refreshments served.
Spend an evening in a café environment with this nationally recognized poet. Gibson will perform her poetry, talk about her work and help judge the Poetry Slam.
All are welcome to read their work on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration to read will start when doors open. Contact garv7714@pacificu.edu for questions.

Andrea Gibson is the first winner of the Women’s World Poetry Slam. Gibson has headlined prestigious performance venues coast to coast with powerful readings on war, class, gender, bullying, white privilege, sexuality, love and spirituality. Her work has been featured on the BBC, Huffinton Post, Air America, C-SPAN, Free Speech TV and, in 2010, was read by a state representative in lieu of morning prayer at the Utah State Legislature.
