Spoken Word In Action! An Open Workshop with Andrea Gibson

To participate, contact Andrea Garvey at garv7714@pacificu.edu or come to the UC Monday, Feb. 25 to Friday, March 1 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to sign up. There are 20 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Focusing on a myriad of social justice issues we will explore the poet’s responsibility in the current political climate. We will read and discuss poems by contemporary writers focusing on issues of race, class, gender, sexuality, patriarchy and capitalism. After that we will use the shared poems as writing prompts to inspire our own radical voice.
