The Choreographers Informal Concert

is a final product of the students’ final choreographic work for Choreography II.

The students were required to create a choreographic work which included two or more dancers as part of their the final project for the class. In addition to conceiving and creating the choreography, they held an audition and recruited dancers, wrote letters for music rights approval, prepared a press release, conceptualized, designed, and prepared their own costumes and lighting design in collaboration with the Technical Director, Tal Sanders.

On display in the lobby will be  the students’ Costume and lighting Concept boards.

In addition, today ‘s concert is dedicated to the Free Body Project, which is a project, which aims to unite dancers and activists to raise awareness of human trafficking in Oregon.  To find out more how you can get involved or support the Free Body Project go to www.freebodyproject.org/.
